Oleg founded Semrush in 2008 with Dmitry Melnikov and has served as Chief Executive Officer, President, and a member of our board of directors since October 2012. Oleg began his career as an IT engineer starting with the development of SEOquake, which was released in 2006.

Dmitry is the co-founder of Semrush along with Oleg. He has served as our Chief Operating Officer and a member of the board of directors since October 2012.

Eugene has served as our Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer since March 2016. Before joining Semrush he was Investment Director of Target Global from March 2016 to March 2017 and Partner from November 2014 to March 2016. Prior to that, he served as the Co-Founder and Head of Marketing at AggroStudios from September 2013 to November 2014. Eugene also served as a Partner of Foresight Ventures and as a Senior Systems Analyst at Cloudmach Inc.

Brian serves as Semrush's Chief Financial Officer since 2023. Brian has more than 20 years of finance leadership experience at market-leading technology companies, including Microsoft, Nuance Communications, and Progress Software. Brian holds a Bachelor of Business and Mathematics from Gordon College, and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.

Vitalii has served as the Chief Product Officer of Semrush since May 2015. In this role, Vitalii drives overall vision and strategy for the entire Semrush product suite.Prior to that he served as one of our Product Owners from July 2013 to May 2015 and as a Developer from September 2008 to June 2013. Before joining SEMrush, Vitalii worked with Oleg as a developer of SEOQuake.

Tatiana Starikova has served as our Chief Human Resources Officer since July 2021. Tatiana previously served as Senior Vice President of Global HR at Semrush from November 2017. Prior to that, Tatiana worked as a Global HR Director in different international Tech and Digital Companies like RealWeb and AdHands from 2014-2017.

Andrew serves as Semrush’s Chief Marketing Officer since 2021 and leads a team of over 150 global marketing and communications professionals. Andrew has a track record in building and optimizing global marketing functions from the ground up. He has lived and worked in some 20+ countries, with a primary focus on digital marketing and digital transformation. Prior to Semrush, he held CMO roles and led global marketing functions at UnitedLex, SoftServe, Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO), GfK, and more.

Tommie has been Semrush’s Chief Sales Officer since February 2024, after serving as Vice President of International Sales from November 2022. Before Semrush, he held positions at leading technology companies like Coupang, Salesforce, Oracle, and LinkedIn. He holds a Master’s in eCommerce and a Bachelor’s in Management of Information Systems (MIS).

Veronique serves as Chief Customer and Data Officer since 2024. She brings over 20 years of experience in customer engagement and held roles at Covetrus (NASDAQ: CVET), Flexential, INAP (NASDAQ: INAP), and Air Canada. Veronique holds a M.Sc. in Human Factors Engineering from Polytechnique Montreal and a B.A. in Communications from the University of Quebec, Montreal.

Alex serves as Semrush’s Chief Information Officer as of April 2022. Prior to Semrush, Alex served as the CIO of Avid Technology (Nasdaq: AVID) from March 2018 to April 2022. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (Nasdaq: HMH). Alex was also the Head of Information Technology for Rapid7 (Nasdaq: RPD). Alex also served as a Founder and CEO of SaaSLicense, successfully acquired by Apptio, Inc. (Vista Equity Partners) in 2020.

Dave joined Semrush as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in October 2022. Prior to Semrush, Dave held the position of General Counsel at Everquote (Nasdaq: EVER) since 2014 and Deputy General Counsel at Kayak from 2011 to 2014. Dave earned his JD from Boston College in 2006 and holds a BBA, Accounting, and Information System from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Maria has been Senior Vice President of the Core (SEO) Unit at Semrush since 2018. Maria joined Semrush in 2014 as a Product Owner. Prior to joining Semrush she served as team leader at E-Government LR from 2012 to 2014.

Marcus Tober joined Semrush in 2022 as the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Solutions. Marcus is among the world’s leading SEO specialists, earning recognition as one of the top 8 “Online Influencers in Digital Marketing” and EU Search Personality of the Year 2016. Prior to Semrush, Marcus held a variety of senior leadership positions at Searchmetrics, a global search experience platform, which he founded in 2005.

Dmitriy has served as Semrush’s SVP of Information Security since November 2023. Prior to Semrush, he was VP and CSO at Avid Technology (Nasdaq: AVID), and prior to that Dmitriy also held long term, senior positions at CyberArk Software (Nasdaq: CYBR). Dmitriy served as strategic advisor for many cybersecurity startups, including Oort (acquired by Cisco), Exium, and Kovrr, and is an instructor for a variety of cybersecurity courses.

Olga joined Semrush in 2013 as head of Social Media andhas served as our Vice President of Brand Marketing since 2017. Prior to that, Olga was at Lux Express Group from 2009 to 2013 where she was most recently a Project Manager. Olga is a speaker at major marketing conferences and the Head Judge at Content and Social Media Awards across USA and Europe.

Pavel has served as VP of Apps and Innovation since June of 2022. Pavel joined Semrush in 2017 as Engineer and led the Local SEO division as Product owner and then as Head of Local solutions. Before joining Semrush, he was a partner and project manager in consulting tech companies like Workpoint and TOPS.

Based in Prague

Stepan has served as VP of Platform Infrastructure since June 2022. Stepan joined Semrush in 2009, being one of the first Senior Engineers in the company, developing the first Semrush products, and later leading the product infrastructure teams as Head of Engineering. In 2015 Stepan established a new location for the company in the Czech Republic and became the General Manager as well. Prior to Semrush, Stepan was a Software Engineer at several software companies.

Ben has served as Vice President of Brand Experience at Semrush since 2024, bringing over 15 years of global marketing expertise to drive brand engagement and build brand equity. With a track record of developing and positioning brands across tech, lifestyle, and digital platforms, Ben previously held global brand roles at Airbnb (NASDAQ: ABNB) and led UK youth strategy at Red Bull. His career focuses on high-growth, community-driven brands that balance creativity with strategic vision.
