William (Bill) R. Wagner is a seasoned technology executive and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Semrush, a role he assumed in March 2025. He has been a member of Semrush’s Board of Directors since September 2022.
Previously, Bill served as CEO of GoTo Group, formerly known as LogMeIn (2015–2022), where he led the company’s growth from $140 million to over $1 billion in revenue, culminating in its ~$4.2 billion acquisition in 2020. His leadership experience also includes key roles at Vocus (formerly NASDAQ: VOCS), Fiberlink (acquired by IBM), and AT&T. He currently serves on the boards of Avery Dennison Corp. (NYSE: AVY) and BlackLine, Inc. (NASDAQ: BL). Bill holds a B.A. from Lafayette College and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School.
